Initial Budget Forecast shows a $1.9 Billion Surplus

The initial state budget forecast was released early December and it shows a $1.9 billion surplus. This is good news for the Best Life Alliance and Home and Community-Base Services, but there are many groups vying for these dollars already.
Several media stories following the forecast announcement mentioned the Best Life Alliance five percent rate increase among the priorities being considered for spending the surplus dollars.This is great news!
