Furness House is a 6-bed ICF/MR located in Maplewood. Furness provides services to adults with a profound to moderate level of functioning, 24-hour awake staff, 24-hour nurse consultation services, as well as consultant dietary services. Each person living at Furness has their own bedroom, personalized to reflect their personalities and the things they enjoy. Furness also has spacious living areas, a court yard and a wonderful sensory room to better serve the people living here. The individuals living at Furness are involved with their families through visits, phone calls and letters. All the individuals at Furness attend a day program, where they either work or are involved in recreational activities. Each person living at Furness is special; staff encourages each person to show their individuality and independence by a variety of activities, community integration opportunities and person-centered programming.
