The 2^nd Annual Phoenix Resident, Family, and Staff Picnic was held on Sunday, September 9, 2007, at Tony Schmidt County Park on Lake Johanna in Arden Hills. It was great to see friends and family reconnect.

In conjunction with the picnic we also continued the celebration of our 30^th Anniversary. Judy Douglas, past President/CEO shared the history of The Phoenix Residence, Inc. and the vision set forth by Margaret and Bob Ludden as they advocated for services for their son John.

Darlene Scott, President, recognized our founding family members at the picnic, The Ludden Family, The Douglas Family, The Caswell Family and The Foss Family. Sue Foss and her brother Dan were present to accept a token of appreciation in honor of their father Lymon.

We also recognized a staff and resident for their outstanding achievements. These honors went to Sarah Handson, Support Professional at Douglas House and Greg Robeck, resident at Carver House. There will be a full article on this in the December Phoenix Flyer.
