Minnesota Advocates Travel to U.S. Capitol
Phoenix representative among those who traveled to Washington, D.C. to advocate for individuals with disabilities.
Phoenix President & CEO Darlene Scott joined leaders in the disability services field to advocate for home and community-based services on the federal level at our national trade association ANCOR’s Public Policy Conference. The group traveled to Washington D.C. with our trade organization, ARRM, and met with all ten of Minnesota’s congressional delegation offices, including Sen. Tina Smith.
Key conference sessions discussed Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) transition plans, Electronic Visit Verification, and emerging trends in Medicaid. To learn more about their visit, be sure to read ARRM’s recap of their trip (blog post on 10/28).
Thank you to all those that visited Washington on behalf of the individuals we support!
