ARRM Day at the Capitol
Rally for your loved ones at this year's ARRM Day at the Capitol!
Let’s make an impact this March! Join us for ARRM Day at the Capitol on March 10 to share your story with legislators and to advocate for their support for people with disabilities. This annual day of advocacy brings together more than 1,000 direct care staff, managers, family members, and individuals from across the state. It’s important to make your voice heard!
The rally will begin at 10 am and meetings with our legislators will last throughout the day. Please let us know if you are interested in meeting with your legislator—it’s important you share your story with them. We will inform you of your meeting time a week before the event.
Date: March 10, 2020
Time: 10 am
Location: Minnesota State Capitol Rotunda
75 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King. Jr. Blvd.
St. Paul, MN 55115
You made your voice heard in 2019. So, let's continue that trend in 2020! Last session, legislators made a critical investment in disability services, but there’s still a long way to go. We need to continue fighting for support of Direct Support Professionals. This year’s legislation will build upon the 2019 investments of the Competitive Workforce Factor.
You don't need to be an expert on the bills ARRM is advocating for in 2020. Simply download ARRM's Legislative Agenda and let your legislator know that your trade association is advocating for legislation that supports long-term sustainability for the disability community. The most important part is for you to share your story.
Questions? Visit www.disabilityservicesday.com today or contact Jackie Larson at 651-294-7964 or jlarson@phoenixresidence.org. Please RSVP if you plan to attend the rally or legislator meetings.
Also, be sure to scope out parking options at the Capitol before you go.
Thank you for your advocacy! We hope to see you there!
