ARRM Day at the Capitol 2021
Rally for your loved ones and disability services virtually this year!
Let’s make an impact this March! Join us virtually this year for ARRM Day at the Capitol on March 9 to share your story with legislators and to advocate for their support for people with disabilities. This annual day of advocacy brings together more than 1,000 direct care staff, managers, family members, and individuals from across the state. Although we’re not able to rally at the Capitol this year, we hope we can bring together just as many people for this year’s events.
The rally will begin at 10 am and then we’ll attend virtual meetings throughout the day with our legislators. Please let us know if you plan on attending the rally or are interested in meeting with your legislator or the legislator who represents your loved one’s home—it’s important you share your story with them. We will share the link to the virtual rally and inform you of your meeting time ahead of time, so stay tuned and keep an eye on this website, our social media sites, and your email!
Date: March 9, 2021

You made your voice heard in 2020. So, let's continue that trend in 2021! This year, we’ll be advocating for Emergency COVID Relief Funding for Home and Community Based Service Providers in response to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as continuing the fight for stable wages for Direct Support Professionals.
You don't need to be an expert on the bills ARRM, our trade association, is advocating for in 2021. Simply download ARRM's Legislative Agenda and let your legislator know that your trade association is advocating for legislation that supports long-term sustainability for the disability community. The most important part is for you to share your story. We’ll be sharing resources with you in the near future to help you formulate your story. Check back soon!
Looking for Other Ways to Participate? ARRM is encouraging folks to reach out to their legislators throughout the day on March 9 about these issues! More information to come on this, but keep an eye on this website for updated information. Email, tweet, call your legislator. The more people who advocate for disability services, the better!
Questions? Visit www.disabilityservicesday.com today or contact Jackie Larson at 651-294-7964 or via email at jlarson@phoenixresidence.org if you plan to attend the rally or want to meet with your legislator.
