Phoenix Residence Hosts Successful DSP Week
During our annual training week, we thanked our DSPs for all they do for our organization.
Last week we celebrated our amazing Direct Support Professionals (DSP) during National DSP Week 2018. We filled the week with laughter, interactive skits and contests, and a little bit of training. We even got our very own visit from our favorite Saturday Night Live hosts!
To say thank you, we also treated our houses to gift baskets throughout the week before ending the training sessions with a warm meal with our coworkers.
Staff members from The Phoenix Residence also reached out to local legislators asking them to proclaim September 9-15, 2018 Direct Support Professionals Week. Phoenix heard back from several cities that did in fact make the proclamation. Thank you to the cities of Maplewood, Newport, and Vadnais Heights, as well as to Governor Dayton to proclaiming September 9 – 15, 2018 DSP Recognition Week in your prospective cities!
ARRM, a state-wide trade association that Phoenix is a member of, also visited one of our group homes with doughnuts to say thank you to our DSPs and meet our individuals.
But in all actuality, the week was more than just about the games and training. It’s our way of saying thank you to our DSPs. You are the heart of our organization, and without you, we wouldn’t be able to continue to provide the quality, loving care we are known for to all our individuals. Thank you for all you do for The Phoenix Residence!
