Darlene Promotes Made in the Shade
President/CEO Darlene Scott, was invited on August 8th by the South Saint Paul / Inver Grove Heights Rotary Club to share information about our "Made in the Shade" fundraising event.
Darlene spoke with the Rotary Club of South St. Paul/Inver Grove Heights about the “Made in the Shade Event.” It was an honor to be invited to share information about Phoenix and this great event. One of the avenues of service of the Rotary Club is Community participation. This “Avenue” relates to the activities that Rotarians undertake to improve the quality of life in their community. Particular emphasis is given to helping children, needy families, the aged, the handicapped, and those most in need of assistance. Rotarians strive to promote the ideal of service in their personal, business, and community lives.
I am so excited about how the individuals at Phoenix are planning to use funds raised from Made in the Shade. Each home has a specific need that they are trying to address including; Pet Therapy, Assistive Technology devices , Music Therapy, Art Therapy, and Life Enriching Community activities to name a few. The great thing about Made in the Shade is everyone can contribute in one way or another. No donation is too small, and if you can walk, run or roll you can participate in the actual event.
Thanks for your support in helping Phoenix to shine!
