Person of the Year Honored at Phoenix Family Picnic
Congratulations to both Aaron Phelps and Mark Pfaff as Person of the Year!
Each year during the family picnic, an individual we serve is selected as Person of the Year for their accomplishments. The Phoenix Residence has been blessed with two outstanding individuals – Mark Pfaff from Janet Court and Aaron Phelps from Centerville.
Aaron Phelps
Aaron Phelps has been a member of the Phoenix Residence family for two years, living at the Centerville House. Aaron is a joy to be around; he is a happy young man, with a constant smile on his face. He is a very loving person, always ready for a hug.
Aaron is a recent graduate from White Bear Lake High School. He is involved in Special Olympics bowling and plays on a baseball team. Aaron also has an adaptive bike he enjoys riding. Thank you Aaron to bringing such joy to Centerville!
Mark Pfaff
For the past two years, Mark Pfaff, has called Phoenix Residence at Janet Court home. In the short time Mark has lived at Janet Court, he has touched the lives of many who encounter him on a daily basis.
Mark takes pride in his home; helping with several tasks around the house such as gardening, sweeping the sidewalks, and organizing the garage. Each week he makes sure the trash is collected and the bins make it to the curb in a timely manner. Mark’s willingness to help goes beyond Janet Court; Mark has volunteered during the annual dump run, the Gertens fundraiser, and the Janet Court garage sale. He brings a smile to everyone’s face!
