The Phoenix Residence would like to recognize long-serving board members Paul Coons and Mary Jo Bailey for their years of services and dedication to our organization. Thank you for your continued support!
Paul Coons
Paul has served on The Phoenix Residence board of directors for 15 years, from 2001-2016, in many capacities including chairperson and a member of the Special Events Committee. Paul is a CPA with the firm Tenney, Coons, and Associates located in Edina. His financial expertise and knowledge has been an invaluable resource to the board; he’s been instrumental in helping us manage our debt as well as survive the recession.
Paul has enjoyed his involvement with The Phoenix Residence board stating “Giving of myself without any expectation of receiving anything in return except the satisfaction of knowing that I am helping the individuals served by Phoenix Residence live better lives, albeit indirectly."
During his free time, Paul likes to spend time with his dogs, play golf, and enjoys watching golf on TV. Thank you Paul for your years of service and dedication to the disability industry!
Mary Jo Bailey
Mary Jo joined The Phoenix Residence board of directors in 1990 and has served our organization for 26 years. Through her tenure, she has held many offices including chairperson of the board and was a member of the Special Events Committee.
Over the years it has been a very fulfilling experience for Mary Jo to support The Phoenix Residence and staff. Mary Jo is amazed and often humbled by the employees’ dedication and care to the individuals and families served by Phoenix.
Mary Jo resides in Minnetonka and is President and owner of Bailey Properties which owns and manages SkyRidge Business Center and Nature Preserve.
In her free time, Mary Jo enjoys walking, yoga, cooking, golfing, traveling, volunteering for various causes, including Minnesota Spay & Neuter Assistance Program, Retrieve A Golden of Minnesota, Leech Lake Legacy, Animal Folks Minnesota, Fresh Water Society, The Sierra Club, and the Wilderness Society to a name a few. Mary Jo also has a passion for mentoring young people. Thank you Mary Jo for your years of service and dedication to the disability industry!
