Staff Member from Afton House Earns Recognition
This month, we recognized the outstanding work of Casey Wilson, a DSP from Afton House, for Employee of the Month.
Casey has been a shining light at Afton. In the absence of the house manager, Casey has stepped up and showed initiative and grace while helping to keep the house running smoothly. Casey makes medical appointments, attends them, orders supplies and groceries, provides direct care, oversees day-to-day operations, helps with staffing coverage, and so much more, all with a smile on her face. She is truly a blessing to Afton House and I’m not sure what we would do without her. She provides a listening ear and is someone the staff can easily relate to and talk to. She gives support and feedback without being judgmental and helps to problem solve any issue that comes up at the home. Casey is always available for questions and to help brainstorm, even when she’s not at the home. She has provided tremendous care to the individuals who live at the house and is a great example to all other employees.
