October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month
This month is all about celebrating the contributions people with disabilities bring to our workplaces and economy.
So many of the individuals we support work out in the community, many of them at day programs. So recognizing this day means a lot to us. This year’s theme is America’s Recovery: Powered by Inclusion, which highlights how important it is that we ensure people with disabilities continue to have access to employment and community involvement, even during this pandemic.
To honor the day, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and DEED Commissioner Steve Grove addressed the community in these online videos.
