Manager Appreciation Week Begins!

We're featuring all our managers this week. Learn more about the managers in our North group! 

Happy Manager Appreciation Week!!

Every year, we take this week to thank our fantastic managers for the excellent work they are doing in all of our homes. To honor them, we're going to feature them all here and on our website throughout the week. If you see your Program Manager or Assistant Program Director this week, please thank them for the wonderful job they are doing leading our staff. We'll start out with our North Group, featuring our Caswell, Centerville, and English House managers.

Kim Guderjan – Assistant Program Director & Chaparral House

“There are so many [memories] to choose from; it’s all about the relationships that I’ve built with the individuals and having fun whenever possible! But celebrating Angela’s birthday might be my favorite memory from the past year.”

From Program Director Kim Phillips: “Kim is a go getter, never leaving any stone unturned. Kim can chime in with any personality in any situation creating a pleasant atmosphere for all. Kim runs the Recreation Committee making sure there are fun activities for everyone to join.”

Nicole Robinson - Caswell House

“My favorite first memory is on my first day Amber grabbed my hand and gave me kisses.”

From APD Kim Guderjan: “Nicole has only been working at The Phoenix Residence for a couple weeks and training in at Caswell House as the new supervisor. Already, I am impressed by her skills and knowledge. Nicole has hit the ground running and has been taking the initiative to form relationships with all our individuals and staff.

Nicole is kind and has the heart we desire for any employee. She been flexible with helping cover hours, jumping right in. Nicole, I’m so excited to have you on the team! I look forward to a long working relationship with you! Caswell House is lucky to have you and so am I. You are doing a great job! Thank you and welcome to the team!”

Sandy Gustafson - Centerville House

“My favorite memory is having Larry [over] for Thanksgiving at my sister’s.”

From APD Kim Guderjan: “Sandy has been the manager of Centerville for many years. The individuals and families rely on her as someone they count on. Sandy knows her position and the individuals at Centerville House like the back of her hand. Sandy spends hours on the floor making sure everyone’s needs are being met and that they have the best possible quality of life. Sandy, you are the face and backbone of Centerville! I appreciate all you do for us! Thank you for your years of service and dedication!”

Zenitha McGloin-Cheatham – Centerville House

  • Previously a DSP

“My favorite memory is when I took Aaron to the mall and celebrated Dan’s birthday.”

From APD Kim Guderjan: “Zenitha has been a Direct Support Professional for a couple years at Centerville. Her mind and skill set are that of a caring individual. Zenitha is a hard worker, and it shows on the individuals’ faces at Centerville. Recently, Zenitha has been promoted to House Supervisor. Zenitha, I can’t wait to watch you spread your wings and fly into this new chapter. I trust the individuals will be well cared for with you in this position. Thank you for everything you do; you are appreciated."

Shelley Peltier - English House

  • Previously a DSP and House Supervisor
  • One of our longest-term managers 

“My favorite memory of this year was when one of the individuals was in a play at a local community theater and he had so many people turn out to see him perform and support him.”

From APD Kim Guderjan: “Shelly is an icon of The Phoenix Residence. She works hard, is caring, and pours her heart and soul into providing care to our individuals. Shelly helps with our Recreation Committee to help provide a quality of live for not only the individuals at English, but also all our individuals.

Shelly is independent, a problem solver, and a talented manager. Shelly, I cannot say enough about you! You are a leader—a leader everyone should aspire to be! Thank you for your service and for being you! You are appreciated!”

Ron Soman - Float Program Supervisor

  • Previously a DSP & Program Supervisor at Caswell

“My favorite memory is taking Gwen to the State Fair.”

From APD Kim Guderjan: “Ron has held many titles and positions at The Phoenix Residence. He is a handyman, a reliable worker, and someone we have come to count on. Ron makes every effort to ensure the individuals are cared for and goes the extra mile to get them to their desired events. Ron, I’m so thankful for all your help as Caswell moves through these changes. Your knowledge is beneficial in helping the future leaders of Phoenix be successful. I know you will do well in whatever title you hold. Thank you for your dedication!”
