Hilda Momanyi – Assistant Program Director

The Phoenix Residence has great workers, mentors, and that makes me keep coming back every day not just to a job. Some days can be tough, weary, annoying and tiresome, but the great spirit and good relationships make my memories. I look forward to my future here, and that is something hard to find these days.”

Lakeshia Uting – Foss House

“My favorite memory was returning to Phoenix full-time from my other job and seeing the smiles of the residents. I love doing outings with my residents. Here we went to the Mall of America with Bruce and Joe.”

Roberta Malcom - Foss House

“I thoroughly enjoy the monthly meetings, sharing ideas and experiences, and the teamwork [here]. Some of my favorite memories have been bowling for the clients’ birthdays and taking them to see Disney on Ice.”

Shirlena Wilson - Furness House

“The reason I stay at Phoenix is because of [the individuals.] I love the ladies I take care of. They are the reason I come to work each day and always call to make sure they are okay when I’m not there.”

“My favorite memory is when I went to drop off something at PAI and Cathy was sitting in the doorway. When she saw me coming, she gave me the biggest smile and started clapping her hands. I felt like a movie star! I have never seen Cathy smile.”

Amanda Simington - Howard House

“I really enjoyed having Tyler’s birthday party here on our patio with his family in attendance. We did banana splits, had a cactus water sprinkler, and a bubble machine. He got a trampoline and boxing stand with gloves. We gave them pretend boxing names like Evandirk Holyfield, Sue-hammed Ali, and Mike Tylerson, and they took turns “punching” the bag.”
