Phoenix Recognizes Several Managers This Month

Home and Community Based Services Program Managers:
Jamie Brooks, Jen Gottschling, DeMarcus Taylor, Kim Guderjan, and Niki Novak

I would like to nominate the managers of the home and community-based services programs. Last month, we met with each group to problem-solve their budget plans in relation to the banding that had come off as part of the changing in funding for the individuals. There was also a 7% cut impacting many. Implementation of this process is occurring on how to cut and maximize services being provided. The program managers often work open hours on the floor and now this will be a daily function as part of their position. Waiver funding for nursing services for our individuals was not included in their rate; this was part of the cut services. The delivery model looks much different than it had 5 years ago. We have been and continue to meet and educate families, legislative members, and our workforce to keep them informed. Representatives have been to our homes. These managers as a whole have kept the morale upbeat, the homes neat and clean, and continued excellent services provided to the individuals. You would never know that these changes have been occurring and continue to evolve. The managers are a huge factor in our success. Thank you for everything you do!
