Music Therapy
If you’re driving down County Road E on the first and third Monday of the month, you will be astounded by the great tunes coming out of English or Centerville House.
If you’re driving down County Road E on the first and third Monday of the month, you will be astounded by the great tunes coming out of English or Centerville House. You may even confuse it with a professional concert, but there’s no charge- it is music therapy with Healing and Harmony led by Katie Corbett. With the funds raised from the Made in The Shade event last fall, Centerville and English combined their earnings and purchased music therapy sessions. It’s been not only an excellent experience therapy wise, but it has also opened up the opportunity to create new friendships. The hour long sessions started this past December and began as a group of 6. As the sessions have continued, the group has significantly grown to include all residents of both houses at different times.
Thank you to everyone who donated and/or participated in the Made in The Shade fundraiser for these houses. The music therapy has truly enhanced everyone’s life and is something they look forward to.
