All About Us!
Howard House is located in the heart of Maplewood near Larpenteur and McKnight; adjacent to a golf course. A small shopping center with restaurants are within walking distance.
Our backyard is fenced in and is permanently decorated with a BBQ grill which we happily use every weekend when the weather permits. Our backyard is perfect for hosting a party or just relaxing and spending time together. We even hosted a graduation party for a recent graduate!
Several of us attend day programs, while others attend school. We all like to spend time with family and friends.
Facts about Folks at Howard
We are within walking distance of our sister house, Furness House. We enjoy our frequent, sometime unannounced visits just to say “hi”!
We also enjoy our visits with Lydia House about twice a week.

We are a house of choices, choices, choices. It may be cliché, but we never tire of saying it. Everyone is unique! Some enjoy a party atmosphere with lots of people, while others enjoy a quiet space. Everyone gets to participate in the activities that make them happy. So yes, everyday we get our full range of choices about what to eat, what recreation activity we like, and what we wear! We are Howard House, a house full of choices!
